We
are always looking for new
volunteers. Even if you only
have a few hours each week that
you could volunteer, the animals
would appreciate it. |
Volunteering
with BRAWA
Thank you for your interest in
volunteering with BRAWA.
Volunteering is a wonderful way
to help animals, make new
friends, get a little exercise,
and support the work of BRAWA.
Volunteers must be at least 16
years of age*, attend an
orientation session, and be
willing to commit to a minimum
of 4 hours per month for at
least six months. Volunteers
must also be covered under their
own health insurance policy.
ORIENTATIONS ARE HELD THE FOURTH
SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH
(except December) AT 10:00
A.M. and THE FOURTH
TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 6:00
P.M. At the orientation
you will tour the shelter, hear
our history and mission, and
receive a description of
volunteer jobs and training.
Shelter
volunteer opportunities include:
-
Fundraising events e.g.
Woofstock, Shake Your Paw
Ball, and more
-
Dog Walker
-
Kennel Attendant
-
Cat Room Attendant
-
Cleaning Crew/Groundskeeper
-

We
are pleased that you are
considering joining our
volunteer workforce. Whether
walking dogs, cuddling cats, or
making our facility shine,
volunteers are an important part
of helping the staff care for
animals and get them ready for
new homes. We hope you will
attend an orientation soon!
*For kids too young to
volunteer, we offer a Critter
Club and other opportunities for
them to learn about animals and
support the work of BRAWA.
